ARTWORKS
bring original art into your space.
I wish to acknowledge the Menang Noongar people as the traditional custodians of the Boodja (land) on which I live. I pay my respects to their continuing culture, and the vital contribution they make to the Albany regions.
Process
My awe of nature, and sense of wonder remain undiminished since childhood, long ago. Making art is second nature, it is my calling.
Current works, are strongly influenced by the location of my home and studio near the coastal hamlet, Mount Manypeaks in southern Western Australia. The area is renown internationally for its biodiversity and is located between Two Peoples Bay Nature Reserve and Waychinicup National Park. Selective use of materials and process supports my ongoing fascination with not only flora and fauna, but the living systems that support them.
Sustainability
Climate change is now upon us, but even small efforts can help reduce its impact. My studio and home are entirely off grid. Recycled materials are most often used in sculptural and assemblage work, and painting materials are Australian made and bought locally to support local businesses and reduce the use of fossil fuels, for transportation.
